Walks 2022

Here is an opportunity for outdoor activity during the Festival. Orkney wildlife guide Megan Taylor of Wild Orkney Walks has put together a special programme of walks in varied parts of Orkney, to provide a range of hill views and coastal scenes. “My aim,” she says, “is to take you off the beaten track where you can see some different wildlife and enjoy Orkney scenery.

The walks are in very small groups, with a maximum of 6 people.

“All walks will require proper footwear for walking (wellies/walking boots) and warm waterproof clothing,” she says. “People are advised to bring a drink/snack, and for full day walks a picnic is required. Binoculars and cameras are also recommended.”

Megan’s walks are much in demand, with many glowing five-star reviews.

“We learned so so much from Megan, cannot recommend highly enough, especially if you want to find some hidden gems.”

“The two walks were a major highlight of our holiday, the knowledge gained will stick forever, so worth every penny.”

The walks are subject to Wild Orkney Walks’ Terms and Conditions.
