Judith Glue

Judith Glue’s Real Food Cafe in Broad Street, situated across from the Cathedral, is open in the evening as well as through the day throughout the Festival and provides a good option for somewhere to eat when you’ve just enjoyed a talk and want to take the opportunity of a meal before going to the next one.

So for instance if you’d like an early evening bite to eat between a 5 o’clock talk and a 7.30 one, it’s ideal, and conveniently situated for the various town centre venues.

It provides opportunities at other times of the day as well, as it’s open from 9 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday, with Sundays 10 am to 6 pm. Last hot food orders need to be in by 9 pm.

The atmosphere is bistro-style, with the food cooked while you watch. The food is local produce with specials such as beef & ale hotpot, locally dived scallops in garlic butter, a seafood platter, or homemade local crab cakes.

The furniture is also Orcadian, with comfortable wooden farmhouse chairs and tables and an opportunity to try an old-fashioned strawback chair as well.

There’s more information on their website.
