Photographs by Orkney Camera Club of stone from the geological and archaeological past. Images range from patterns in ancient rock to the great circles.

The venue is the Warehouse Buildings at the Pier Head in Stromness, built in 1675 to store rice brought by American ships from South Carolina, diverted from the English Channel route by war with France. You can read about the story of the building. The location is right on the harbour front, at the Pier Head, with parking alongside.

The exhibition itself is in the Marjory Corrigall Room, named after the giver of the bequest that enabled Stromness to build its first public library.

On the opening day, Thursday 3 September, the exhibition will continue into the evening till 7.30 pm, and a number of the photographers will be there and glad to speak about their pictures.
