WORKSHOP: THE EVIDENCE CHAMBER

September 11 → 5:30 pm7:00 pm

Garden Room, King Street Halls, Kirkwall

How does a jury assess evidence and come to a conclusion? Join this reconstruction of the process created by scientists at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science in Dundee in collaboration with digital story studio Fast Familiar. They’ve imagined a case of murder and developed evidence for and against, and you as a juror have to assess it – to watch the testimonies, discuss with your fellow jurors; and reach your verdict.

Numbers are limited to 15, and booking is essential. Tickets £10. Please note that although the story has been created by the researchers to demonstrate the process, the detail is realistic. The event involves participation and reading aloud. Suitable for ages 16+.
