WORKSHOP: AUTUMN IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
Join professional gardener Ed Bollom for an informal workshop covering everything you need to be doing through the autumn to keep your kitchen garden healthy and productive.
Ed will talk about how best to harvest, store and preserve your fruit and vegetables to keep them delicious and nutritious through the winter and beyond. The workshop will also cover what you can sow in the autumn to provide fresh vegetables during the darker and colder months of the year, along with some ideas for interesting and unusual varieties to try out.
There will be plenty of time to ask him any questions and to learn from the successes and failures of your fellow gardeners!
Numbers limited to 25: booking essential. Tickets £10.
Ed started his career studying sustainable horticulture in Somerset and over the years has worked in historic gardens all over Britain. He was for five years senior gardener at Highgrove House, growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and cut flowers for the future King Charles III. On moving to Scotland, he spent ten years building up one of the largest kitchen gardens in Europe at Gordon Castle in Moray, and he now runs a gardening and design business with his wife Anna in Fochabers.
