WORKSHOP AND TOUR: PROTECTED CROP GROWING IN ORKNEY
What’s the best way to protect plants from the force of an Orkney gale? Traditionally it’s been glasshouses and polytunnels; and now polycrubs are coming to the fore. Dr Henry Creissen, the director of UHI Orkney’s Agronomy and Agriculture Institute, is joined by Horticulture lecturer Clive Chaddock and gardener Ed Bollom to discuss the evidence so far.
After the 1-hour workshop there is an opportunity to go on a garden tour with them.
Numbers limited to 15: booking essential, tickets £10.
