WORKSHOP: A DIVE INTO ORKNEY’S SEASCAPE
Beneath its rough seas, Orkney is home to magnificent seaweed forests, emerald seagrass meadows and intricate maerl beds. Often overlooked, these rich habitats are vulnerable to development across the seascape. Heriot-Watt research student Millie Brown takes a creative approach to discuss what these habitats mean to all of us—communities, local fishermen, scientists and visitors.
Numbers limited to 15; booking essential. Tickets £3
The venue is the Lecture Theatre in the Robert Rendall Building at the Orkney Research and Innovation Campus. The building is on the site of the former primary school, with parking available at the old academy site nearby. Further details of the venue are in a site map online.
