WALK: SWANBISTER CIRCULAR

September 8, 2021 → 1:00 pm5:00 pm

Join Orkney wildlife guide Megan Taylor of Wild Orkney Walks on a walk combining landward and seaward elements.

”This is one of my favourite walks, through farmland then along the coast of Scapa Flow with lovely views, before coming back in land, and through a small pocket of woodland. The walk is on a mixture of farm tracks, coastal paths and quiet roads. Take a snack/drink with you. “

Medium, £48pp

It is possible to use the local bus service for this walk, Stagecoach service No 2 from Kirkwall to Houton which stops in Orphir village. The start time of the walk will be delayed by 10 mins for anyone travelling by bus.

Megan’s aim with the Festival walks is to take you off the beaten track where you can see some different wildlife and enjoy Orkney scenery.

The maximum group size is 6 people. You are advised to have appropriate footwear for walking, ie walking boots as well as warm, waterproof clothing. Binoculars and camera are also advisable.

Booking is essential. Here is the booking link.

The Festival ticket system is kindly provided by e-availability, Forres and Inverness.
