WALK: BURWICK COASTLINE

September 7, 2022 → 10:00 am1:00 pm

Join Orkney wildlife guide Megan Taylor of Wild Orkney Walks for a walk along the coastal path north from Burwick, up the west coast of South Ronaldsay. This path takes you along beautiful cliff tops, giving plenty opportunity to spot wildlife – from seabirds to seals, insects, flowers and if we’re lucky maybe even a cetacean. On a clear day, the views across to Caithness and Scapa Flow are amazing.

3 hours, Medium, £39pp

Megan’s aim with the Festival walks is to take you off the beaten track where you can see some different wildlife and enjoy Orkney scenery.

The maximum group size is 6 people. You are advised to have appropriate footwear for walking, ie walking boots or wellies and warm, waterproof clothing. Binoculars and camera are advisable and please bring a drink/snack with you.

NB Walks will only be postponed if the forecast weather will create dangerous conditions for walking. Otherwise, all walks will go ahead as normal.

Booking is essential. Here is a booking link.

The Festival ticket system is kindly provided by e-availability, Inverness.
