It’s a great sight on Broad Street in front of the Cathedral, with an opportunity to see cars that can range in time from a Model T Ford from 1915 to a new electric vehicle of today – and with over a hundred years of vintage vehicles, classic cars and tractors in between, along with the sound of engines in action, and all beautifully restored.
You can hear the stories from the owners of how a vehicle might have been gently rusting away over long years and then through much love and skill has been transformed and brought back to immaculate condition. Members of Orkney Vintage Club look forward to welcoming you. There will be street food available from Orkney Food & Drink members from 11 am.
You can enjoy seeing some images of the work that the members of the Club do in this video from 2020. It shows vintage tractors in action, then the restoration of a 1965 Norton 650SS motorcycle and an MG Magnette ZA, and it rounds off with scenes from past rallies on Broad Street.
