THE YEAR WE ALL WENT BACK
What will it be like living with Covid? If a new variant appears, what should we do? Will things ever get back completely to what they were? “I don’t think they will,” says epidemiologist Prof. Mark Woolhouse of Edinburgh University, “but that may not be all bad news.”
He explains the case against lockdown made earlier this year in his book The Year the World Went Mad. “We have to do better next time, so let’s start thinking about future pandemics, the challenges they may present and how we should prepare.”
