Virtual Virtual Event

Our guests tonight are some of the contributors to a new work of science fiction in which a mysterious Scottish rocket launch is gradually uncovered. The book Alba ad Astra – Scotland’s Forgotten History of Space Exploration is structured as a sequence of interwoven texts, and its editor, artist and science communicator Madeleine Shepherd, sets the scene for us and introduces a sequence of music and readings from it by science fiction writers Ken MacLeod, Andrew Wilson, Kirsty Wishart and Gavin Inglis, who composed the music. Alba ad Astra is published by Shoreline of Infinity and sponsored by Transreal Fiction bookshop.
