When the German High Seas Fleet was scuttled in Scapa Flow on 21st June 1919, a party of Stromness School pupils, on an end-of-term tour aboard the water boat Flying Kestrel, found themselves witnesses to history as the massive battleships began sinking, creating danger and confusion all around them. The centenary of this event is commemorated by an account of the story, with actual voices and images from archive, and readings by a cast including current Stromness Academy pupils. Tickets £6 & £4.
In association with Stromness Museum and St Magnus International Festival
