Award-winning wildlife cameraman and photographer Raymond Besant has been looking into his archive, to bring us some scenes of life along Orkney’s coast and places inland, including some footage not shown before.
Raymond films regularly for the BBC’s wildlife ‘Watches’ in spring, autumn and winter, as a long lens cameraman. He has recently returned from the Arctic, filming for the forthcoming new BBC series Frozen Planet 2. His first photographic book, Naturally Orkney, was voted Scotland’s Favourite Nature Photography book of 2014 and has been followed by Naturally Orkney – Coastline.
