Join Orkney wildlife guide Megan Taylor of Wild Orkney Walks on a longer walk into the Orphir hills above Scorradale and up to the top of the Ward Hill.

”Although the path is rough and steep in places, the walk is at a leisurely pace so we can take in the views and keep an eye out for wildlife. This is a beautiful area and the views from the top are well worth the effort. Walking can be rough and wet underfoot. Please bring a picnic.“

5-6 hours, £60pp, Hard

Megan’s aim with the Festival walks is to take you off the beaten track where you can see some different wildlife and enjoy Orkney scenery.

The maximum group size is 6 people. You are advised to have appropriate footwear for walking, ie walking boots as well as warm, waterproof clothing. Binoculars and camera are also advisable.

Booking is essential. Here is the booking link.

The Festival ticket system is kindly provided by e-availability, Forres and Inverness.
