NETHERBUTTON – ORKNEY’S RADAR STATION

Netherbutton was one of a chain of radar stations developed ahead of World War II.  Its story is told by Ian Brown, curator of the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune, in an interview with Howie Firth. Ian is an acknowledged authority on the history of radar and is the author of the recently published book Radar in Scotland 1938-46.
