They just keep coming in! More and more activities are building up, with several just in the past week, and several more likely. The list had already been building up to what is looking like a record number and we’re going to start listing them now.

There’s the planetarium of course, with Dynamic Earth making a welcome return and several of the sessions are just about fully booked.

But if you’ve missed a space, do not worry as there is so much more, and indeed about journeying into space itself. You can for instance meet the team of mission scientists and engineers from the Royal Observatory Edinburgh and become a dark matter detective. They’re tell you about their work analysing the data from the Euclid space telescope which is probing almost unbelievable depths of space, and how you can help them.

Also from Edinburgh is a team from the National Biofilms Information Centre, wanting you to help them build a microbe city. You can explore how the microbes live together and make your own craft microbes. From Edinburgh too are the zebrafish, making their first visit to Orkney.

Another new visitor is Elizabeth Mills from MarineMumbles, who wants you to make your own marine monster, and there’s more on shore life from SeasearchScotland.

Then there are activities with Watt’s On Electricity, and there is computer coding and making pictures with sunlight and … more to come, much more!

You can choose your visiting time. There are morning tickets for the session from 10.00 to 12.30; or afternoon tickets for the session from 1.00 to 3.30 pm.

Ticket prices are £9 & £6 with planetarium, or £7 & £5 without.

With the tickets that include the planetarium there is a choice of two different 45-minute shows.
