CURBING THE ICE MELT BY MINING THE SKY
With the signs of global warming ever more evident and little international agreement on action, the time has come, says Prof. Peter Wadhams of Cambridge University, to switch to a new approach – to develop technology to remove the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from the atmosphere: to extract it as we do with mineral resources. Individual countries can get on with doing this, and corporations can look for ways to make the process a commercial one.
