With the Craig Mainland Dance Band, for would-be and why-not dancers of all ages. The band features Craig on accordion, Sinclair Taylor on drums, and Alice Mainland on piano.

And if you’d like to start practising, they’re going to start with the traditional Orkney version of the Eva Three Step. Then just to make sure they get everyone on the floor, they’re going to follow with an Orcadian Strip the Willow.

After supper around 8.30 pm, the dances will include a Military Two Step, and here they are with a good-going tune to dance to. You can see more of the band on their Facebook page.

The evening will also feature several musical guests, among them Andy Munro and his daughter Flora with a song or two, and Twa Folk (Irene Watt and Graham White) with clarsach, bouzouki, harmonica and bodhran.
